Kristen “K” Fenstermacher is a passionate, dynamic visionary in the field of outdoor education. “K” completed her bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and master’s degree in Camp Administration and Leadership from Touro University. As a teen, she worked at Girl Scout camps, then began pursuing outdoor education as an instructor after college graduation. Since then, she has continued her career directing summer camps and outdoor education programs on both the east and west coast. K is excited to share the Cody Outdoor Classroom opportunities with school groups from across New England.



Benjamin Rossetter has always been passionate about playing and working outside. Ben is an accomplished educator and skilled leader. He has vast experience as a wilderness trip leader, science educator, and adventure guide in both the Rocky Mountains and New England. He is currently completing his master's degree in Experiential Education from the Teton Science Schools and Prescott College. Ben cannot wait to learn, teach, and share profound moments with students in New England.    




Cody instructors are college graduates from all over the United States. Some instructors have science backgrounds, while others have experience working with children. Our diverse backgrounds and shared enthusiasm for educating youth outdoors are assets that contribute to the success of our program. All instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR.



Cody Outdoor Classroom is seeking a talented, dynamic Program Manager with experience in direct management, coordination and delivery of a first-class residential school program experience. They must be a highly-organized visionary; capable of providing an unforgettable experience to students and teachers, supervising staff and collaborating on future growth in a fast-paced environment that includes multiple tasks and responsibilities. Being an active participant during the fall and spring seasons, they will reside on-site and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where staff can thrive in their role and students are provided with an educational and safe experience. This year-round position involves delivering STEM curriculum in classrooms during the winter and supporting the Director with school/staff recruitment, retention and programming strategies. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years’ experience managing residential outdoor science programs. Our instructors are the core of Cody Outdoor Classroom, guiding student scientists as they explore the relationships and interactions among systems in the natural and manmade world. If helping students discover macroinvertebrates at the creek and using a slingshot as a model to teach energy and motion interests you, then Cody is the organization for you! Through experiential learning, instructors give students an opportunity to further explore concepts and processes taught in the classroom.

We are seeking individuals who have experience in outdoor programming or working with youth and most importantly a passion for providing an unforgettable experience for students and teachers in New England. We hire seasonally for fall and spring, with the opportunity to join the Camp Cody team during the summer. Join us at the foothills of the White Mountains in Freedom, NH at our superb modern campus.
